4.18 Brake test
In the C418 Brake Test submenu of the DAVID-613 processor system, the brake test func-
tion is activated when a BG-90 type KW braking device is used.

The following activities may only be carried out by authorized personnel who are able to detect and
rectify any irregularities and faults in the installation and operation of an elevator installation and who
have sufficient knowledge of the relevant regulations. (UVV, BGVA3)

Please pay attention to elevator car. Press the service button on the top of the DAVID-D-613 ZR. This
keeps the doors closed

In the DAVID-613 processor system, set menu C-Diagnostics / TÜV approval, C418 brake test. This pa-
rameter shuts off the short-circuit contactor in the Goliath-90 series frequency converter and removes
the monitoring function that prevents brake opening at a speed greater than 0.2 m / s.

Make an internal call with the HPG-60 or press on the DAVID D-613 ZR on the top the call button for the
lowest stop.

Bequest the rated speed of the system, activate the brake test key switch S82A.

The drive is interrupted. The brake coil A continues to be energized and remains open, but the brake
coil B drops.

The brake coil B to be tested closes, brake coil A remains energized.
The minimum deceleration value for a brake circuit is 0.4 m / s2, or the maximum stopping dis-
tance at Vnenn = 1.0 m / s is 1.8 m, or at Vnenn = 1.6 m / s from 3.5 m!
The deceleration path is displayed in mm in the HPG-60!

Repeat the test procedure for the second brake circuit
4.19 Test direction change counter
In submenu C419 Test direction change counter,
it is possible to simulate a triggering of the direc-
tion change counter for the suspension cables / straps by test activation.
4.20 Test rope wear counter
In the submenu C420 Test rope wear counter
, it is possible to simulate by test activation an extinc-
tion of the rope wear counter for the suspension ropes / Tragriehmen.
4.21 Test brake element brake-2
In submenu C421 Test brake element brake-2
of the DAVID-613 processor system, it is possible to
switch off the monitoring of the braking element of drive 2 for software purposes in order to generate
an error response. This corresponds to a physical interruption of the line of the respective brake ele-
ment. This is required for brake components requiring monitoring, in order to simulate a failure of a
brake element according to EN 81-20.
4.22 Resetting the speed limiter pre-shutdown
In submenu C422 Test Reset GB pre-shutdown
of the DAVID-613 processor system, it is possible
to reset this by activating the function in the case of a lockable pre-shutdown of the Gb for the car with
reset coil via pushbutton S50. After releasing the button S50, the function is deactivated again.
