Possible cause

Blockage of the upper twine
run
Check the twine run from the knotter to the twine roll in the
twine box inclusively.

The twine tension on the up-
per twine strand is too high.
Reduce the tensioning force of the upper twine brake by
turning the wing nut once or twice,

The holding force of the twine
retainer is too low.
Malfunction (7):
The second knot (starting knot) just exists in the lower twine strand. No knot
has been tied in the lower twine strand.
Possible cause
Remedy
7.1
The lower twine tension
springs do not work properly.
Ensure free room for the lower twine tension springs (2).
Hold tight the lower twine brake (1):
Tighten the spring (4) by turning the wing nut (3) once or
twice.
7.2
There is not enough knotter
needle overrun in the upper
dead point.
Check the knotter needles,

The twine bar does not work
accurately or is set incorrectly.
Check/adjust the twine pusher,
Malfunction (8):
The twine winds around the knotter hook when knotting the second knot
(starting knot).
