0 Terminating resistor switched off
1 Terminating resistor switched on
- Device not configured
Rules for setting the terminating resistor
•
The terminating resistor should be activated on the two mLB subscribers furthest away from each
other.
•
Only the terminating resistor of the first light is set.
•
If two external control units (marTouch Pro® or wall panel) are present in the system, the terminating
resistor is to be set on both units. In this case, the terminating resistor must not be set on any light.
•
The terminating resistor of the marLED® board Standard is usually deactivated. In exceptional cases,
e.g. in case of long cables, termination in a star layout may be required (activated).
Malfunctions on the mLB
If all devices are connected, the resistance between mLB L and mLB H must be between 40 and 150
Ω, as
otherwise no proper function of the mLB can be ensured.
Long cables can further increase the resistance.
•
Ensure before each resistance measurement that the entire system is completely cabled and supplied
with power. All system subscribers must be activated. Otherwise, the terminating resistor is not
connected to the system.
•
During the measurement, no operation may be performed on any mLB subscriber. Otherwise, the
measured value will be distorted.
