6. Checking the light functions

Instructions for Use,
true rms voltmeter (e.g. Metra Hit X-tra)

a) Checking the emergency power switch
•
Check correct function of emergency power switch (if applicable).
Simulation of mains power failure, e.g. by deactivation of the on-site power supply or by
removal of the pre-fuse of the respective light system.
b) Function test according to Instructions for Use
•
Check all functions of the light system of lights for proper working order, following the
instructions provided in the user manual for the respective type of light and – where
applicable – in the user manuals for optional equipment such as monitor, camera or
marTouch® Pro.
•
Level the light head and verify that the light produces a circular luminous field on the target
surface from a distance of 1 m.
•
Light field size
Check “light field size” function by switching from large to small and back again.
•
Color temperature
Check “Color temperature” function, moving through the options.
d) Checking COM interface (e.g. querying of current firmware version)
•
Read out firmware release of the COM interface via “KLS Martin RS 232 – Serial Interface
Test” tool and enter it into the protocol.
