Inspection and Maintenance
14.2.1
Notices Concerning the Inspection

Carry out all control activities completely and carefully!
•
The results must be documented in an inspection plan, see section 14.2.2 “Notices Concerning the
Inspection Plan”, page 101.
Inspection or maintenance work may be performed only by persons who, by virtue of their training,
knowledge and experience gained from practical activities, are able to properly perform such safety checks
and who are not obliged to adhere to instructions by superiors with regard to such control activities!
These requirements are satisfied only by Martin Service Center personnel or specially trained (and thus
duly authorized) persons!
Danger of serious injury from electric shock!
Touching live components can cause a life-threatening electric shock!

Therefore, be sure to disconnect the light system all-pole on the building side for any work that does
not require the respective light to be in operating condition, and take measures to prevent accidental
reconnection!
If applicable, also disconnect the emergency power supply to the light system!

Before performing any work on the light system, be sure to read the safety instructions provided in this
manual!
•
If no torque is specified for service work, although it is required, please refer to the table in section 3.4
“Torques for Metric Threads”, page 17.
