COM Interface (RS232) 

COM interfaces serve to connect the light systems to external control systems. 
The RS232 signal requires 3 lines: Tx, Rx and reference level. It connects processor-controlled circuit boards 
and PCs (Rx of the control electronics is linked to Tx of the PC and vice versa). 
The RS232 serial interface test tool from Gebrüder Martin can be used to check the communication with 
the board, see 

Instructions for Use RS232 Serial Interface Test Software

, REF 90-445-52-10. 

The board is equipped with several communication options (Modbus/serial bus). 
This is implemented by means of specific firmware on the board. 
For the check, the appropriate communication type must be selected in the RS232 Serial Interface Test 
Tool.
