13.4. Connections for the control of single-chamber small wastewater treatment plants
The following figures show the basic design of the switch cabinet of a single-chamber small wastewater
treatment plant. The location of the built-in components may vary for different cabinet models.
In total, there are the following connections in the switch cabinet:
1. Power supply 230V ~ 50Hz AV, for
connecting the controller to an electrical
socket
2. Compressor connection for connecting the
compressor to the controller with an
integrated shock-proof plug,
3. Air connection of compressor. This
connection is used to connect the valve
bar integrated in the control to the
compressor,
4. Hose connection (19 mm PVC spout) for
connecting the aeration unit,
5. Hose connection (13 mm PVC spout) for
Connection of the drain lifter,

13.3. Connections on the Air Distributor/Manifold
Upon delivery, the controller is already properly connected to the corresponding port of the air
distributor/manifold.
The air distributors come in three different versions:
1. 4x air distributor (4 separate valves Y1 ... Y4),
2. 3-fold air distributor (3 separate valves Y2 ... Y4), and
3. 2x air distributor (2 separate valves Y3 and Y5)
For proper connection at a later time, the table below offers a matrix to clearly show the plugs of the
controller (X1.1 ... X1.4), their function (aeration, clear water discharge, or sludge removal) and the
connections to the air distributor.
