PAD-L
Symptom 3: Excessive output is produced.
Check item
Possible cause and remedy
The shorting bar connecting terminals 3 and 4
of the control terminal board has been
removed or is loose.
•
Install the shorting bar properly.
The output voltage (current) does not fall.
•
•
Defective power transistor
Failed breeder circuit
None of the above
•
Failed OVP circuit
Symptom 4: Unstable output

Is the input power voltage normal?
•
Beyond the input voltage range
A special load has been connected.
• See 2.3 "Load".
A drift results in problems.
•
Perform a warm-up for at least 30 minutes.
Oscillating
•
Phase rotation has occurred due to wiring for remote
sensing. Connect an electrolytic capacitor to the load
ends. See 4.1 "Remote sensing".
None of the above
•
Circuit failure
Symptom 5: Large ripple voltage
Check item
Possible cause and remedy
Is the input power voltage normal?
•
Input voltage is too low.
The sensing terminals have been floated from
the output terminals.
•
Firmly connect the sensing terminals.
A strong magnetic field or electric field
generating source is located nearby.
•
Affected by electromagnetic induction.
Move the unit and load away from the magnetic field
or electric field generating source.
Twist the load wires together.
None of the above
•
Circuit failure
