Program Branch MEASURING
5.2.1 Identification of the Measuring Point
The measuring point can be identified
•
either by using plain-text (example: ´MS.PK20!´)
•
or by numerical values, decimal point, and/or slash (example: 18.05-06).
There are
eight
digits at your disposal to identify the measuring point.
In program branch SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, you can select which mode for the
identification of the measuring point will be used
(see chapter 7.7.2)
.
Additionally this set-up can be selected by using a HotCode entry, you can select the
respective mode and make it cold-start resistant.

Data' or 'Serial Output' in program branch
OUTPUT OPTIONS, you may enter here a
number for the identification of the
measuring point.
(A measuring point may or may not
carry an identification mark.)
Confirm the
identification mark for the measuring point,
and return to the program by pressing
ENTER
.
(Now, FLUXUS will mark all logged measuring
values by the entered identification.)
5.2.2 Decide which Sound Path to use
The Sound Path represents the number of transit paths that the ultrasonic waves travel
through the medium in the pipe.
Any
odd
number requires diagonal mounting of the transducers on different sides of the
pipe.
Any
even
number requires installation of the transducers so that the reflection method
can be used.
