KA
T
Heat Quantity Measurement
* 0.93 m/s
Actual flow velocity. The sign ‘*’ means that this instantaneous
value is for information only.
T1= 90.2 C(FIX)
Temperature T1 (inlet) when T1-channel was activated. ´(FIX)´
appears if the temperature was entered manually.
T2= 70.4 C
Temperature T2 (outlet) when T2-channel was activated.
(T1-T2)= 19.8 C
Difference in temperature T1-T2 when both temperature channels
were activated.
Note:
•
If a temperature cannot be measured and the value for it has not been entered
as constant ´(FIX)´, the characters ´?UNDEF´ are shown instead of the
temperature value or the difference in temperature T1-T2. At the same time, the
calculations for heat flow and heat quantity cannot be made and the displayed
values are marked by ´_UNDEF_´.
•
The indication of the temperature difference does not show whether one or both
of the temperatures are constants.
•
A keystroke, which has influence on the total quantity counters, will only be
active if the upper line of the display shows the total value. If the upper line of
the display shows something other than the total quantity count, you need to
press the key twice. The first keystroke will change the displayed value to the
total count. The second stroke will perform the actual function.
Correction of the temperature channels
FLUXUS gives the option of inputting a correction value (offset value) for each
temperature channel. If this correction value is used, the associated temperature
is calculated from the measured value with consideration of the sign-dependent
offset value (summation of both values).
This facility is useful, e.g., if
•
the characteristic curves of the two Pt100 temperature sensors do not
correspond sufficiently;
•
a known and constant temperature gradient exists between the measured
value and the actual temperature.
Since, in most cases, the offset correction is not really necessary, the input
request for it can be permanently enabled or disabled.
Enabling or disabling the offset correction
If you do not need the offset correction for the temperature channels, you can
permanently disable the function by entering the following HotCode
(see also chapter
2.3.3).
With the same procedure, the function can once again enabled if required.
NEX T
O F F
O
Enter this key sequence from the MAIN
MENU.
The display to permanently enable or disable the offset correction appears.
Tx Corr.Offset
>OFF< on
The current status will be displayed.
(In this example,
the offset correction is switched off.)
Select >ON<, in order to enable the input
request.
