13 Process Interfaces
FLUXUS can be equipped with different process interfaces (current loop, voltage output,
frequency output, impulse output, alarm output).
The dialogue for the installation of an available FLUXUS Process Output, described in
chapter 7.7.5, ‘Process Output Installation’, has to be gone through, if necessary, for all of
the available outputs.
13.1 Set-up of Analogue Outputs
The Analogue Outputs are set-up in program branch OUTPUT OPTIONS.
Note: The displays for the Analogue Outputs only appear in program branch OPT if
FLUXUS is equipped with Analogue Outputs and they have been installed in
program branch SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, chapter 7.7.5.
13.1.1 Decision on Error-Value and Error-Value Delay
During the measurement momentary problems can occur because of e.g. high gas
content in the medium. Two set-ups are required to handle error conditions:

Error-Value:
Which value shall be output in case of erroneous flow measurements?
•
Error-Value Delay:
Shall the error value be output after a certain delay?

You decide on the error-value in program branch SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
(see chapter 7.7.5
‘Process Output Installation’)

The following example for a current loop demonstrates how to decide upon the error-
value:
Let’s assume:
•
The flow volume (source item of the current loop)
cannot be measured;
•
The current loop operates in mode 4/20mA;
•
The error-value delay td > 0 s.
