OPERATION
- 53 -
7.
Fill the housing with drinking water to enable trouble-free, auto-
matic switching-over between the prefilters.
NOTE
Place the lid such that it is centred exactly on the
filter housing and tighten the winged nuts evenly.
WARNING
Clean the prefilter housing before inserting the fil-
ter bag. Wipe particles out of the prefilter housing
using a cloth or similar so that these do not fall
down to the bottom of the housing and make their
way to the membranes. Particles at the intake to
the membranes can damage these or decrease the
capacity of the system.
WARNING
When no filter bags are inserted, serious damage
to the membranes can occur!
3.4.1.2
Installation of activated carbon filter elements into dechlorination module
In the dechlorination module ten, 30"-activated carbon filter elements
have to be installed prior to water treatment.
3.4.1.3
Adding Chlorine
Chlorination is necessary if drinking water is to be stored in a supply
tank. It prevents germ formation in the supply tank and in the succeed-
ing distribution system.
When using the drinking water immediately, fill the chlorinating con-
tainer with drinking water.
WARNING
Always read the MSDS prior to use of the calcium
hypochlorite.
NOTE
The national limiting values for the chlorine con-
tent of drinking water must be adhered to.
Chlorination
1.
Fill the chlorinating container in the pre-filter module up to the
marking with drinking water.
NOTE
When putting into operation for the first time, the suction
lead of the volume-controlling pump must be ventilated:
• Open the bypass valve. For this, unscrew the screw
(38/3) by one and a half turns.
• Start the pump by pressing the "Hand" key button (38/2).
• Keep the key button pressed until water emerges out
of the bypass. Underlay a rag to catch emerging fluid.
• Shut the bypass valve.
2.
Mix the chlorinating chemicals in the chlorinating container
according to Table 1, page 49.
