2.3 Description of the System
The system is a mobile water treatment plant for producing drinking
water with an output of approx. 1 600 l/h. It is a modular assembly and
can be fitted according to the conditions for application.
• Reverse Osmosis Module (RO Module)
Water treatment module with membrane filters for producing drink-
ing water.
• Pre-treatment Module
Module for pre-treatment with filter bags.
All the modules are constructed as a box-type framework of rectangu-
lar tubing with a base plate. The upper openings are fitted with sliding
covers, the sides with lockable doors. Forklift-stacking slits are availa-
ble for stowing the modules.
2.3.1 Safety Installations
Emergency OFF Switches The emergency OFF switch for the WTC 1600 module is located on the
switch cabinet door.
When operating the emergency OFF switch, all the power circuits of
the WTC 1600 module are cut off.
The emergency OFF switch for the whole container (including the
WTC 1600 module) is located at the main switch cabinet inside the
container.
WARNING The fault may only be localized and remedied by a
qualified electrician.
Protective Earthing When operating the equipment, earthing is required. For this purpose
an earthing rod must be driven into the ground and connected to the
earthing screw (located at the connection box for power supply) via
the earthing cable.
WARNING The earthing may only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
