Kaleidescape Premiere Line Installation Guide

Players in the Premiere line have multiple video outputs including a
combined audio/video HDMI output.

When installing a Premiere system, the following considerations must be
addressed:
Customer requirements
Ventilation and clearance
Proper grounding

Space Planning
All components in the Premiere line fit in standard 19 inch racks, and other
than the M300 Player, ship with removable mounting brackets, or rack ears.
Note:
M300 players fit in a 19 inch rack when mounted on an optional Mini
Player Rack-Mount Shelf (KSHELF-300) that can hold up to two mini
players.
When planning the site, the following criteria must be met:
• Components must have adequate ventilation
• All components require at minimum a 1 inch clearance in front and a
2 inch clearance at the rear
• Front grilles must be unobstructed
Some components need more space if the rack has a front door.
• The 3U Server front panel opens outward from the top
• The 1U+ Movie Server has a removable front panel for disk cartridge
access
• M500 Players have disc trays that must be able to eject
unobstructed
• DV700 and M700 Disc Vaults must be able to accept discs and eject
discs from the front slot unobstructed
