Unused D-Sub connectors may cause damage to the device or other parts the system due due to ESD
(electrostatic discharge).

To prevent electrostatic discharge, protective caps are available from specialised suppliers (e.g. Spoerle).

The item Servo Positioning Controller C 3-Series has been designed to provide high interference immunity. For this reason,
some function blocks are electrically isolated. Inside the device, the signals are transmitted via optocouplers.
The following isolated areas are distinguished:


