DSCP Translation
To preserve the proper QoS Level of the packet and avoid high priority packets from being delayed or
dropped, a DSCP translation policy for traffic can be used. When a DSCP translation policy is enabled,
the QoS Level value is converted to a DSCP value according to the specified mapping rules. [8]
This page allows the user to configure basic QoS DSCP translation settings for all switches. DSCP
translation can be done in
Ingress
or
Egress
.

DSCP
Maximum number of supported DSCP values is 64. Valid DSCP values are from 0 to
63.
Ingress
Ingress DSCP can be first translated to new DSCP before using the DSCP for QoS class
and DPL map.
There are two configuration parameters for DSCP Translation:
1.
Translate:
DSCP can be translated to any of (0-63) DSCP values.
2.
Classify:
check to enable ingress classification
Egress
The configurable parameters for Egress side are as follows:
1.
Remap DP0
—
controls the remapping for frames with DP level 0. Select the DSCP value
from select menu to which you want to remap. DSCP value ranges form 0 to 63.
2.
Remap DP1
—
controls the remapping for frames with DP level 1. Select the DSCP
value from select menu to which you want to remap. DSCP value ranges form 0 to 63.
Remap DP0
Select the DSCP value from select menu to which you want to remap. DSCP value ranges
form 0 to 63
Remap DP1
Select the DSCP value from select menu to which you want to remap. DSCP value ranges
form 0 to 63.
Save
Click to save changes.
Reset
Click to undo any changes made locally and revert to previously saved values.
