Fast Recovery
Fast Recovery is a function for port redundancy. The port has the highest recovery priority (the lowest
number) will be the active port, others will be blocked (if included).

Dual Port Recovery
Dual Port Recovery mode is defined to work with unmanaged devices/switches or ring of switches. This
feature can be set to on single port of switches on both sides of unmanaged ring. The IES12G with Dual
Port Recovery mode will provide redundant links.
The Dual Port Recovery mechanism is the mechanism that allows execution of recovery protocol over the
unmanaged devices/switches (ring of switches) that don’t support other recovery protocols.
This protocols based on sending specific messages (BPDU format) from each port on both sides of
unmanaged chain. The Dual Port Recovery feature can be executed with other redundancy protocols on
same device.
Dual Port Recovery- Concept
Dual Port Recovery allows connection to un-managed switch/ring of switches.
