The PEN*KEY computer is in line edit (block)
mode. The computer is sending, to the host computer,
cumulative data when you press a terminating key.
C
The PEN*KEY computer is in character mode. The
computer is sending, to the host computer, each key as
you press it.

The PEN*KEY computer is in local edit mode, which
is a feature of the VT330/VT340 terminal.
Keyboard
The PEN*KEY computer has an 81-key external keyboard
with keys defined to emulate VT220 terminal operation
(Figure 7-1). Note that these keys are not operational: Fn,
Setup, SysReq, Pause, Home, End, Ins, ScrLk, PgDn, and
PgUp.
