Configuring Leased Line Operation
The INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 can be used in leased line operation. Leased line means that
the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 establishes and maintains a connection to a remote terminal
automatically directly after switching on. If no connection exists or the connection
breaks down, it will be tried to establish a new connection to the remote terminal after
20 seconds.
Configuration with HSComm
In order to
enable leased line operation
, check on the "Network" tabe in the
"Leased line mode" panel the checkbox "leased line active" (Figure 7, page 45,
position 5).
Enter an IP address or the host name or domain name of a device in the net-
work to which a connection is to be established. If you enter a domain name,
at least an address of a name server must be known by the INSYS WLAN serial
2.1.
