INSYS WLAN serial 2.1
The INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 is commissioned successfully and can be
reached in the WLAN.
If you get the output "Request Timed Out…", the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 has
probably been configured with different IP settings or cannot be accessed
physically. The IP settings of the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 may be the cause for
this. Is the Signal LED at the device illuminated? If not, the field strength of
the WLAN is too low.
Testing the configuration from the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1
You can test the previously described configuration from the INSYS WLAN
serial 2.1 via the terminal program.
The INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 is connected to the WLAN and has the IP address
192.168.1.27.
The access point is ready for operation and has the IP address 192.168.1.26.
Your PC is connected to the LAN and has the IP address 192.168.1.25.
The program TeraTerm is connected to the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1.

Perform a ping from the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1:
AT#PING 192.168.1.25
You will receive the output "PING: Time =4ms". The time may deviate in
your case.
The INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 is commissioned successfully and can be
reached in the WLAN.
If you get the output "PING TIMEOUT", the device has probably been config-
ured with different IP settings or the target PC can not be accessed. The IP set-
tings of the target PC may be the cause for this. Check its IP settings as well.
Moreover, it is possible that the INSYS WLAN serial 2.1 is not connected to the
WLAN properly. Check the indications of the Signal and RF Link LED.
