etc. These emails are generated as a result of the services being stopped
during the code upgrade process. The messages can be ignored.
During the restart, the RAS and the vtfd and ptcluster services are
automatically restarted on the server. The restart can take several minutes.
Upon completion, the
login: prompt displays.
The ProtecTIER upgrade is now complete on the server you were working on.
28. Proceed as appropriate:

If you just completed the ProtecTIER v3.1.x.x upgrade on Server A ,
continue to step 29 to start the upgrade on Server B.
– OR –
v
If you just completed the ProtecTIER v3.1.x.x upgrade on Server B , the
upgrade for this cluster is complete.
– If this is the only cluster that requires this upgrade, remain connected to
Server B, and go to “Verifying the server time, date, and timezone
settings” on page 26.
– If there are additional clusters that require this upgrade, repeat steps1 on
page 21 through 28 to verify RAS configuration, stop the vtfd and
ptcluster services, and upgrade the servers to ProtecTIER v3.1.x.x. When
you have upgraded all applicable servers, remain connected to Server B
and go on to “Verifying the server time, date, and timezone settings” on
page 26.
29. Log out of Server A. Enter the following command:
exit <enter>
30. Disconnect the USB keyboard and monitor from Server A and connect them to
Server B.

Repeat steps 16 on page 23 through 28 to complete the v3.1.x.x upgrade on
Server B.
