Complete
the
following
steps
to
remove
the
drive
tray
assembly:
1.
Turn
off
the
server
and
all
attached
peripheral
devices.
2.
Disconnect
all
power
cords
and
external
cables
from
the
back
of
the
server.
3.
If
necessary,
remove
the
server
from
the
rack;
then,
remove
the
server
cover
(see
“Removing
the
cover”
on
page
18).
4.
Remove
the
drives
from
the
server
(see
“Hard
disk
drives”
on
page
26).
5.
Lift
up
on
the
two
blue
levers
on
the
rear
of
the
drive
tray
to
release
it
from
the
server.
6.
Slide
the
drive
tray
assembly
forward.
7.
Unplug
the
cables
from
the
rear
of
the
drive
tray
assembly.
8.
Unplug
the
DVD
cable
from
the
system
board
and
remove
it
from
the
server.
Attention:
When
you
remove
the
cable
from
the
server:

Make
sure
that
the
cable
does
not
snag
on
any
server
component.
v
Note
the
routing
of
the
cable
for
later
reinstallation.
9.
Lift
the
drive
tray
assembly
out
of
the
server.
