Precautions for Connecting Battery Cables
For details about how to connect battery cables, see the conceptual diagram for
connecting battery cables delivered with the cables.
Battery trays consist of guide rails and trays, with 2 U space reserved between each of
them for operation. If the battery trays need to be removed, perform the following
operations:
a.
Remove the battery trays from the top to bottom.
b.
Install batteries from bottom to top layers.
When installing batteries, install battery trays at first, then place batteries onto the trays, and
connect cables. Do not move all the batteries into the cabinet after placing the batteries on the
trays and connecting cables.
When cables are routed vertically, route and bind them along the rack rails or posts. Do
not route the cables from the gaps between side panels.

When the length of a battery cable equals the distance between two battery terminals,
connect the cable straight through, as shown in
