In the New Server window on the iSCSI tab, clear
Allow access via iSCSI
.

Fibre Channel
tab.

Enter a name and optional description for the server connection.

If you are taking VMware application-managed snapshots, enter the Controlling Server IP
Address.

Manually Configure Initiator
.

Enter the initiator WWPN in the dialog box, and click
Save
to add the WWPN to the list of
unassigned WWPNs.
9.
Select this WWPN in the Unassigned Initiator list and click
Assign
.
10.
Click
OK
when you are finished.
Deleting a manually configured Fibre Channel initiator
You can delete a manually configured Fibre Channel initiator from either the unassigned or assigned
initiator list.
1.
In the navigation window, select the Fibre Channel server connection you want to edit.
2.
Click the
Details
tab.
3.
Click
Server Tasks
, and select
Edit Server
.
4.
Select the manually configured initiator WWPN from the list. The Delete button becomes
enabled.
5.
Click
Delete
, and then click
OK
to confirm.
6.
Click
OK
when you are finished.
Editing a Fibre Channel server connection
Edit the following items for a Fibre Channel server connection:

Description
•
Controlling server IP address
•
Initiator WWPN assignments
1.
In the navigation window, select the Fibre Channel server connection you want to edit.
2.
Click the
Details
tab.
3.
Click
Server Tasks
, and select
Edit Server
.
4.
Change the appropriate information.
5.
Click
OK
when you are finished.
6.
If you have changed the Initiator WWPN assignments, ensure that you update the LUN
assignments as well.
Deleting a Fibre Channel server connection
Deleting a Fibre Channel server connection stops access to volumes by servers using that server
connection. Access to the same volume by other servers continues.
1.
In the navigation window, select the Fibre Channel server connection you want to delete.
2.
Click the
Details
tab.
3.
Click
Server Tasks
, and select
Delete Server
.
4.
Click
OK
to delete the server.
Completing the Fibre Channel setup
Rescanning the disks
In the disk management tool, rescan the Fibre Channel disks to show the LUNs you just configured.
You will see an individual disk for every path, for each LUN, until you configure MPIO.
