hardware features
The illustrations below introduce you to the various buttons, connectors,
ports, and other features of your hp Jornada.
1.
Stereo headset jack. Connect a pair of
stereo headphones or the hands-free
phone headset.
2.
Infrared port. Beam files to other mobile
devices.
3.
Earpiece. Functions as the phone
earpiece when you are not using the
headset.
4.
Antenna. Lift the antenna if necessary to
improve phone reception.
5.
LED. Notifies you of scheduled
appointments, alarms, and reminders,
and indicates power status while
recharging.
6.
Send button. Press to dial a call. Press
and hold to start Fonix Voice Dial.
7.
Phone display. Displays the status of the
phone, phone call, and SMS-related
features.
8.
End button. Press and hold to turn phone
functions on or off. When phone is on,
press to end a call or to apply an alert
profile.
9.
Ambient light sensor. Enables you to create a display profile that automatically turns the
backlight on or off.
10.
Volume/scroll control. Adjust the talk volume while a call is connected, or scroll the
phone display.
11.
Record button. Press and hold to record voice notes. Release to stop recording.
12.
Touch screen. Tap on-screen controls or buttons to select menu commands or input text.
13.
Navigation pad. Press to navigate through documents or select on-screen buttons and
controls.
14.
hp hot keys. Press to launch an application or programmed function.
15.
Power button. Press to turn your hp Jornada on or off. Press and hold to turn the backlight
on or off.
16.
Action button. Press to open the selected item.
17.
Speaker. Listen to music, or use your hp Jornada as a speakerphone.
