hp Jornada 920 series wireless digital assistant user’s guide
answering an incoming call
Your phone must be on to receive an incoming call. When an incoming
call is received, your hp Jornada plays the ringing sound or vibrates
according to the options you have set for your alert profile. The phone
display shows the Incoming call message. If you have a caller ID service,
the caller’s telephone number is displayed; if the number is in your Pocket
Outlook Contacts database, the caller’s name is displayed.
To answer an incoming call
•
In the Microsoft Phone application, tap
Answer
–or–
Press the Send
button on your hp Jornada.
If the phone rings while you are using Windows Media Player to listen to
music on the PDA, Windows Media Player will pause the music. Play will
resume after you end the call, or if you cancel the call without answering.
If you answer a call while you are connected to GPRS, GPRS will be
disconnected. After you end the call, you will need to manually reconnect to
GPRS. If you do not want to end your GPRS session, ignore the incoming call.
If you answer a call while you are in a WAP session, the session will suspend.
After you end the call, the WAP session will resume automatically.
deferred answering and local voice mail
When you do not want to answer an incoming call immediately, your hp
Jornada provides two options for deferred answering. You can play a
recorded message asking the caller to remain on hold until you answer, or
you can play a greeting that asks the caller to record a local voice mail
message on your hp Jornada.
To use deferred answering
1.
Press and hold the Send button on your hp Jornada.
2.
Release the Send button to answer the call.
