(13) Sump / Pressure chamber….
Removal
1.
To gain access to the sump you must first remove the lower back panel on the
cabinet.
2.
As with the pump the end of the outlet hose should if possible be placed in a bucket
or bowl, lower than the container,
3.
The cabinet should be tilted forward and supported. With a receptacle for the excess
water.
4.
Now remove the large bore black hose. As with the pump the water should run into
the bowl.
5.
Unscrew the jubilee clip around the sump and twist it free from the container.
6.
Remove the small hose on the side and lift the sump clear.
(13a) Sump / Pressure chamber….
Fitting
1.
Before refitting the sump, make sure the filter is clean and the pressure chamber is
clear, if you have a ball in your sump you can leave it out if
you wish.
2.
NOTE: The filter has a hole in the base that sits over a
moulding on the base of the sump; this moulding is offset so
the filter will only properly fit one way.
3.
The internal cap section that prevents the ball from going into
the tub should be refitted in any event and it has to be located
correctly for the filter assembly to fit properly.
4.
When it is properly in place tighten the retaining clip.
5.
Connect the hoses.
6.
Replace lower back panel.
