Pump

No pump out

Noisy

Leaking
The pump is situated under the washing machine at the rear of the cabinet and its function
is to evacuate the drum of water. Although quite robust for its size it doesn’t take too
much to stop it from working, blockages being the main cause for concern, although even
a cotton bud or elastic band can prevent the impellor from turning. The impellor on these
pumps do not spin freely when flicked so don’t think that they are faulty for that reason.
Small items do get passed the filter in the sump and can get lodged in the pump
housing, this will cause one or more of the following:
The pump will stop. There will be water left in the machine
The pump will become very noisy. While the pump is on you will hear a rattling or
grating or both.
The pump will run erratically. The pump will stop and start at will, and you could be
left with water in the drum.
