Noisy on spin but fine on wash
Open the door and try moving the inner drum up and down; there is a certain amount
of movement but not much. If you are not sure remove the lid and watch the pulley as
you lift the drum, if it moves outward, then it is possibly the aluminium bearing
housing in the drum that has worn, (this only really happens when you have
previously had the bearings changed. They go before the housing). If this is the case
you will need a new rear end container, or the top and front balance weights can come
loose and this would cause a banging during the spin but no noise during the wash.
Machine is banging and the door seal is twisting during wash
This would probably be because one or both stabilizer legs have come adrift or
broken. The drum would only be supported by the springs both side and would twist
violently during wash and spin, this movement would cause the drum to hit the
cabinet sides or base during use.
Drum lopsided
Here is another case of the stabilizer legs not doing there job (for whatever reason)
Check the pins are still in place and the legs are not damaged, they are not serviceable
so any damage and they need replacing, this also goes for the pin because the tag
tends to get broken on them.
Bad wash results
If the heater does not come on within 10 minutes of the heat cycle starting, the
program will advance as though it had reached the correct temperature. (No fault will
be indicated). Check heater continuity, Check Thermistor for o/c (or broken wire).
Check wiring from heater and Thermistor back to control module. Check pressure
switch is closing.
The LEDs light during a program and it will not restart
The program has been abandoned because of a major error;
Items to check are:
• Motor
• Pump, drain hose and associated plumbing
• Pressure chamber, Pressure switch including pipes and wiring.
The machine gives two short spins then stops
The Tacho generator or associated wiring is open circuit. Should the fault occur
during a spin cycle the pump will run for 20 minutes.
