(12) Pump….
Removal
1.
To gain access to the pump you must first remove the lower back panel on the
cabinet.
2.
If possible put the free end of outlet hose in a bucket or bowl lower than the drum.
(This is to drain any water that is left in the hose).
3.
Tilt the machine forward and place a large tin of peas or dog food or anything solid,
under the cabinet, just so it doesn’t fall back onto your hands. It must also be high
enough to get a shallow bowl or deep tray under the sump so when you disconnect the
pump it doesn’t soak your floor or you.
4.
Be careful not to tilt the machine too much in case it
topples over. (If possible get someone in front of it. Just in
case).
5.
These pumps just slot into the cabinet and can be unhooked
while the hoses are still attached.
6.
There may be a tag or fixing screw holding it in place here,
this must be removed or freed first.
7.
Disconnect the wiring plug and pull the pump assembly towards you, lift it free as
much as possible.
8.
Now disconnect the grey hose, and if the bowl was placed right the excess water will
run into that and not all over the floor.
9.
Disconnect the black sump hose and take the pump out.
