(16) Heater…….
Removal
1.
To gain access to the heater you must first remove the lower back panel on the
cabinet.
2.
Remove the black water shield by unscrewing the plastic nut in the centre.
3.
Disconnect the wiring.
4.
Undo the nut in the centre about ¾ of the way. Do not remove it.
5.
Knock the nut inwards until it is flush with the body of the heater again.
6.
Pull the heater free. (You will have to jiggle it about and possibly lever it out, but try
not to damage the rubber seal).
7.
Remove the heater bracket. Make a note which way up it comes off. (For refitting).
(16a) Heater…….
Fitting
1.
Fit the heater bracket. Flat side closest to the container.
2.
Before inserting a previously used heater, rub a small amount of washing up liquid on
the rubber seal; this will allow it to slide easier into place. New heaters do not need
this assistance and should fit perfectly anyway.
3.
Push it in up to the metal surround and tighten the centre nut. Make sure the heater
bracket is located in the container correctly, (if the heater has gone in straight and you
can’t tilt it upwards then it has located correctly).
4.
Refit the wires and the terminal block, replace the water shield.
5.
Replace lower back panel.
