Unscrew the setscrews first on the side that
is subjected to more load.
¾
Make the adjustment turn by turn. In this con-
text pay attention to the pictures under “Notes
on adjusting the undercarriage wheels”.
¾
Tighten the setscrews, until the adjustment
arm touches the opposite screw. This screw
must be tightened and secured.
¾
Tighten both setscrews.
¾
Screw the two grub screws back in to secure
the setscrews.
¾
Drive the reloading wagon approx. 1.5 km on
solid, level ground and subsequently check
the guidance of the track belts.
¾
If one side is considerably warmer than the
other, the sprockets must be re-aligned, until
the guides for the belts on both sides have ap-
prox. the same temperature after the test run.
Notes on adjusting the
undercarriage wheels
The following pictures show the front undercar-
riage wheels in travel direction. The arrows
indicate on which side the guide of the rubber
track belt rubs against the undercarriage wheels
and to which side the setscrews (3) must be
adjusted.

Aligning the undercarriage
wheels
Aligning the wheels is the second step in the
adjustment of the caterpillar undercarriage, The
main part of the adjustment is the alignment of
the undercarriage.
The front undercarriage wheels are mounted on
an arm, which can be aligned with setscrews.

Adjusting the undercarriage wheels

Park the reloading wagon on firm, level and
uniform ground before starting any adjust-
ment work.
¾
Secure the reloading wagon with appropriate
means against rolling away.
¾
Relieve the track belt. In this context follow the
chapter “Tensioning/relieving the track belt”.
¾
Remove the grub screws from the inner and
outer setscrews.
