The reloading wagon Titan 34 UW is optionally
available with a caterpillar undercarriage.
The rubber track belt of the undercarriage is held
under tension by a hydraulic pressure accumula-
tor system. The pressure accumulator system is
pre-tensioned with nitrogen, this dampens the
reloading wagon when driving in rough terrain.
With the caterpillar undercarriage the
Titan 34 UW is excessively wide.
For participating in the traffic on public
roads a special permit and special
marking may be required.
This must strictly be clarified with
the responsible authorities.
A kit for special marking is available
from HORSCH.
WARNING
Danger of severe injuries caused by explosion
of the pressure accumulator. Even after being
emptied, the vessels are still pre-loaded with gas
pressure. Do not open or work (welding, drilling)
on pressure accumulators.
Operation of the
caterpillar undercarriage
The track must be correctly tensioned through-
out operation. The caterpillar undercarriage is
equipped with pressure gauges for hydraulic
pressure, a lock valve and a hydraulic connec-
tion on the side. This enables you to check the
hydraulic pressure for pre-tensioning the rubber
track and to adjust it, if necessary.

The rubber track belt is pre-tensioned with 100 bar.
Too high pre-tensioning pressure would over-
load hubs and undercarriage wheels. This would
result in higher wear of the components.
If the pre-tensioning pressure is too low, there
is a risk of losing a rubber track belt, especially
when cornering with a loaded reloading wagon.
Maintenance and
adjustment
Adjustment
In order to achieve the longest possible lifetime
of track belts and other components and to avoid
downtimes, the caterpillar undercarriages must
be correctly adjusted before operation is started.
The undercarriages are calibrated in the factory.
With increasing wear, the undercarriages must
be readjusted.
