14.1 General

14.2
Operating fluids
NOTE
Fluids and oils from other brands should only be
used after consultation with HORSCH Service.
Written confirmation is required.
The warranty for the machine will immedi-
ately expire when using non-specified oils!
14.3 Periodic maintenance
of carrier vehicle
WARNING
Strictly follow the danger notes for all mainte-
nance work on brake and hydraulic systems of
the self-propelled crop protection sprayer!
See chapter "Maintenance and care of carrier
vehicle".
14.3.1 Maintenance during the
running-in period
During the first 100 operating hours:
¾
Do not run the engine unnecessarily with idle
speed.
¾
Check the coolant temperature at all times.
¾
Check engine oil and coolant levels more
frequently. Watch out for leakages.
¾
When topping up engine oil match the oil
viscosity to the seasonal requirements and
follow the information provided by the engine
manufacturer.
¾
Check hoses and hose clamps in the air intake
system for tight fit.
¾
Check the drive belts.
14.3.2 Maintenance daily or every
10 operating hours
¾
Check engine oil level.
¾
Check hydraulic system oil level.
¾
Check the tyre pressure.
¾
Check the wheel studs.
¾
Lubricate as per lubrication plan.
¾
Control lamp test.
¾
Test the light functions.
14.3.3 Maintenance during the
first 50 operating hours
¾
Retighten the wheel fastening with 650 ± 65 Nm.
14.3.4 Maintenance during the
first 100 operating hours
¾
Check engine oil and filter elements.
¾
Check hydraulic oil and filter elements.
¾
Change the gear oil in the wheel gears.
¾
Check the cooling system.
14.3.5 Maintenance during the
first 500 operating hours
¾
Change engine oil and filter elements.
¾
Fill in new engine oil.
¾
Replace fuel filter and fuel pre-cleaner.
¾
Other intervals as per operating instructions
of the engine manufacturer.
¾
Clean the dry filter element and the safety
element in the air filter.
¾
Check the fan belt for damage and renew as
required.
