Air filter
WARNING
Danger of burning on hot engine compo-
nents. Any maintenance work on the air
intake system must only be carried out with
the engine shut off and cooled down.
The air filter must be cleaned or replaced as
needed. Filter elements must be replaced every
two years at the latest. If the warning indicator
lights on the display, the main filter element
needs to be replaced.
NOTE
A warning symbol on the dashboard indicates
a heavily contaminated air filter.

8.3.1 Engine coolant – inspection
WARNING
Danger of scalding! Do not open the filler
cap while the engine is hot. Shut down the
engine and wait until it has cooled down.

Check the engine coolant level every day.
¾
The coolant must be visible at the upper edge (a).
¾
If the fluid level of the engine coolant drops
below the minimum mark, this is indicated by
a warning symbol on the dashboard.

8.3.2 Cleaning the cooling system
Keep air inlets and radiator screens clean at all
times. Shut the engine down for cleaning. If nec-
essary clean with compressed air or a water jet.
NOTE

The cooling fins of hydraulic oil cooler, radia
-
tor, oil cooler and air conditioning must always
be kept clean!

Do not use high pressure cleaner for cleaning!
¾
Do not clean crosswise toward the fins!
¾
