Local S7999B Configuration
The S7999B can be configured to manage a single burner/
boiler system only. In this configuration a single S7810M
device is included in the wiring along with zero or more UDC
controllers that perform one of the burner control applications.
Multiple UDC controllers can be connected in this network.
Typical configuration results in only a single instance of each
UDC application type installed on the network, but the system
isn't restricted to just one instance. Multiple UDC controllers
for any application type can be included.
Three variations of this configuration based on COM 1 port
usage are possible:
• ControLinks™ R7999 commissioning
• Subsystem of System Modbus™ network
• No additional connection
Fig. 6 depicts the configuration when COM 1 isn't used for any
other connection, i.e., the S7999B manages exclusively just
the burner/boiler system connected to the COM 2 port.
Fig. 6. Local S7999B configuration (COM 1 not used).
In this configuration, the R7999 may be connected to the ControlBus, and its status is visible from the S7810M. Only one
S7810M is connected, but multiple UDCs can be connected in this configuration. Fig. 7 shows the wiring for this configuration.
