Studio Color LCD Controller
You can use a DB9 to DB25 adapter if the female end of your
serial cable does not match your computer’s serial port.
Make sure you do not use a null modem adapter, since that
will prevent the controller from communicating with your
computer.
Connecting the Computer and Controller
Figure 7-2 shows two different connections. The top diagram
shows how to connect a PC with a DB9 serial port to the
controller using a standard DB9-to-DB9 cable. The bottom
diagram shows how to connect a PC with a DB25 serial port
to the controller using a standard DB25-to-DB25 cable and a
DB25-to-DB9 adapter:
