Switch-on, switch-off
Switch-on
Refer to your machine manual.
Danger exists for the operator when the machine
is started up. Read the safety information before
switching on the machine.
Switch-on and crossing over the reference points can
vary depending on the machine tool.
Refer to your machine manual.
Switch on the power supply for TNC and machine. The TNC then
displays the following dialog:
SYSTEM STARTUP
TNC is started
POWER INTERRUPTED
TNC message that the power was interrupted—
clear the message
COMPILE A PLC PROGRAM
The PLC program of the TNC is automatically compiled
RELAY EXT. DC VOLTAGE MISSING
Switch on external dc voltage. The TNC checks the
functioning of the EMERGENCY STOP circuit
MANUAL OPERATION
TRAVERSE REFERENCE POINTS
Cross the datums manually in the prescribed
sequence: For each axis press the
NC START
key;
or
Cross the datums in any sequence: Press and hold
the machine axis direction button for each axis
until the datum has been traversed
If your machine is equipped with absolute encoders,
you can leave out crossing the reference marks.
In such a case, the TNC is ready for operation
immediately after the machine control voltage is
switched on.
The TNC is now ready for operation in the
Manual operation
mode.
