Selecting a datum on the intersection of two elements
Select the mode for specifying the datum
Click the first element (straight line, complete
circle or circular arc) with the left mouse button.
The TNC indicates possible locations for datums
on the selected element with stars. The element
is color-highlighted
Click on the second element (straight line,
complete circle or circular arc) with the left mouse
button. The TNC sets the datum symbol on the
intersection
The TNC calculates the intersection of two elements
even if it is on the extension of one of these
elements.
If the TNC calculates multiple intersections, it selects
the intersection nearest the mouse-click on the
second element.
If the TNC cannot calculate an intersection, it
rescinds the marking of the element.
If a datum is set, the color of the icon changes
Setting a datum.
Delete a datum by clicking on the
icon.
Element Information
In the Element Information window, the TNC shows how far the
datum you haven chosen is located from the drawing datum.
