Defrosting
Use® to direct the air through the
defroster vents.
Use this mode in cold weather to
remove mist or ice from the
windscreen.
Most of the air is directed through
the windscreen defroster outlets,
with a small amount directed
through the side window demister
outlets.
The
A/C
compressor may operate
in this mode to dehumidify the air.
The recirculation function cannot
be activated in this mode.

A/C Compressor Button
Press
®
to turn the air
conditioning compressor on.
The indicator light should turn on.
The system will cool and dehumidify
the air entering the vehicle.
Press the knob again to turn this
feature off.
When the temperature is above
freezing, the air conditioning
compressor will run in demist and
defrost modes to help remove
moisture from the air.
NOTE:
If you try to activate the air
conditioning compressor while
the climate control system is
off, the indicator light on the
knob will flash to let you know
that the function will not
operate.
