• NEW VEHIClE RUN-IN
PERIOD
NOTICE
Your vehicle doesn't need an
elaborate "run-in", however it
will perform better in the long
run if you follow these
guidelines:
•
Keep your speed at 90 km/h
(55 mph) or less for the first
800 km (500 miles).
•
Don't drive at a constant
speed - fast or slow - for the
first 800 km (500 miles).
Don't make full-throttle starts.
•
Avoid down-shifting to brake
or slow your vehicle.
NOTICE
(Continued)
•
Avoid making hard stops for
the first 320 km (200 miles)
or so. Hard stops with new
brake linings can mean pre
mature wear. Follow this "run
in" guideline every time you
get new brake linings.
•
Do not tow a trailer during
"run-in".
