Use tyre chains only where
legal, and only when you must.
Use chains that are the correct
size for your tyres. Install them
on the rear tyres as tightly as
possible with the ends securely
fastened.
Do not install tyre chains on the
front tyres.
Drive slowly and follow the
chain manufacturer's instruc
tions. If you hear the chains
contacting your vehicle, stop
and re-tighten them. If the
contact continues, slow down
until it stops.
Driving too fast or spinning the
wheels with chains on will
damage the vehicle.

Balancing
If there is unusual tyre wear or if
the vehicle pulls one way or the
other, the alignment may need to
be reset.
If the vehicle vibrates when you
are driving on a smooth road, the
wheels may need to be balanced.
