If the light comes on while you are
driving, pull over and stop
carefully.
The brake pedal may be harder to
push or it may go closer to the
floor. It may take longer to stop.
If the light stays on, have the
vehicle towed for service. The
brake system should be inspected
right away.
This light also comes on when you
set your park brake while the
ignition is on.
If the light does not come on when
the park brake is set, have your
vehicle serviced.
The light stays on until the ignition
is turned off or the park brake is
fully released.
If it stays on after the park brake is
fully released, it means you may
have a brake problem.
