CAUTION
When an air bag inflates, there
may be dust in the air. This
dust could cause breathing
problems for people with a
history of asthma or other
breathing trouble. To avoid
this, everyone in the vehicle
should get out as soon as it is
safe to do so. If you are unable
to get out of the vehicle, then
open a window or door.
If you experience breathing
problems following air bag
deployment, you should seek
medical attention.
In many severe crashes,
windscreens are broken by
vehicle deformation. Additional
windscreen breakage may also
occur from the inflation of the
front passenger air bag.
The air bag only inflates once. It
must be replaced after a collision.
Let only qualified technicians work
on the air bag system.
NOTICE
Do not damage the air bag
covers.
If an air bag cover is damaged,
you may have to replace the air
bag module or both the
module and instrument panel.
If a roof-mounted side air bag
cover is damaged, you may
have to replace the air bag
module or both the module
and the ceiling covering.

CAUTION
For up to ten seconds after the
ignition is turned off and the
battery is disconnected, an air
bag can still inflate during
improper service.
If you are too close to an
inflating air bag, it could
seriously injure you.
Avoid yellow connectors.
Be sure that you or the person
performing work is qualified
and follows proper procedures.
