4.3 ENGINE IGNITION SWITCH
See fig.4 (N° 5 fig.2). Consult the engine instruction manual.
Before starting the engine, make sure that the gearshift (N° 16 fig.1) and
reduction gear – reverse shuttle levers (N° 17 fig.1) are in the neutral position.
Depress the clutch pedal (N° 19 fig.1) to enable the ignition switch, then turn the
key in the following way:
P = Parking light (with light switch fig.3, in position 1).
0 = No circuit powered.
1 = Instrument panel and indicator lights ON (operating status). Pre-heat position (only
if available): hold the key in this position until the glow plug indicator light (18, fig.2)
turns off.
2 = Engine on.
Once the engine has started: release the key. It will automatically return to
operating position 1.
Check the instruments and indicators.
Make sure that the oil pressure indicator (N° 11 fig.2) is off. If it remains on, this
indicates low oil pressure. In this case, turn off the engine and consult the
engine instruction manual.
4.4 STOPPING THE ENGINE
Move the accelerator lever (N° 18 fig.1) up to the idling position. Pull knob N° 20
fig.1.
Engage the parking brake N° 6 fig.1.
In mod.40RS-W40RS-40R-W45RS-45R, turn the engine ignition key to position
0 (fig.4)
WARNING : The steering action of the power steering system will be reduced if
the engine accidentally stops. Depress the main brake to allow the machine to
come to a full stop.
