Configuring Internet access
In the next step you have to enter the data for your Internet connection. You will have
received the necessary information from your Internet Service Provider ( ISP ).
Please read the following section if you chose German as the language and Germany or
Austria as the country. Otherwise, please go to page 52.
Internet Service Providers for Germany and Austria
If you chose German as the language and Germany or Austria as the country, the next
step is to choose your Internet Service Provider from a list.
Here is an example for Germany.
u Click on WEITER .
A window opens, where you can enter the data which your Internet Service Provider
has provided for you. More information on page 57.
u If your Internet Service Provider is not in the list, choose Andere DSL-Betreiber .
u Click on WEITER .
Other Internet providers
Next, choose the type of internet connection you have from the following:
u PPPoE (see page 53)
Standard connection type for connections using DSL modem.
u Dynamic (see page 54)
Connection type for connections using dynamic IP address.
u Static IP address
Connection type for connections using fixed IP address.
u PPTP (see page 56)
Special connection type for connections using DSL modem with secure transmission
( Tunneling ).
You will find information about the connection type and the access data you need for
further configuration in the paperwork you received from your Internet Service Pro-
vider.
