7.3. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
The personnel responsible for carrying out the operations described in this chapter must not only have
the characteristics set down in
paragraph4.2.2, but must also have read and understood - and must
observe
- the safety prescriptions given in
chapter 4
.
Note that the greater the care taken with adjustments, set-ups and routine/scheduled maintenance, the
longer the machine will retain its original characteristics unaltered and the less likely the need for
supplementary maintenance/repairs.
Always perform all checks, inspections and cleaning operations described in
this paragraph
in
accordance with the specified frequency.
In any event,
the general rules must be observed
in order to keep the machine in perfect working
order:
1. keep the machine clean and tidy;
2. avoid any unnecessary damage;
3. avoid a situation where makeshift or urgent repairs become commonplace;
4. do not use the machine to perform any work processes that produce chips; if you need to drill holes
for example, carefully check that no residues remain on the machine parts.
For the disposal of worn or replaced materials,
refer to the prescriptions given in paragraph 8.2.
During all work, both the machine operator and the maintenance technician must scrupulously adhere to
the prescriptions given for each type of task.
Maintenance interventions must only be performedafter powering off and disconnecting Genny
from its external energy (AC) supply
Do not attempt to open the Powerbase o the seating module. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside the Powerbase. Only authorized service center can repair or replace parts.
By opening them, you risk electric shock injury. Also, you could void your limited warranty,
damage your machine, and render it unsafe to use.
Do not open the Gearboxes. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the Gearboxes. You could
damage your machine and render it unsafe to use.
FREQUENCY
CHECK
METHODS AND RESPONSE
EVERY DAY
Check the proper
functioning of:
the emergency stop
device;
the parts of the
command/control
system relating to
safety
All these devices and circuits must carry out their function correctly.
Directly command the devices so they produce the intended
result
(e.g. stopping, etc.).
As soon as any problem is noted,
initiate the necessary checks to
verify the perfect electrical and mechanical functioning of the
devices.
The actuators and all parts must in any case be replaced at the first
sign of erosion or breakage.
EVERY DAY
Visual check of
integrity of :
fixed guards
All the fixed guard need to be functioning properly
Check integrity on outside (surface) and inside and check if there are
no signs of erosion or breakage)
EVERY WEEK
Visual check of
integrity of
all data
plates
In case of illegibility they are to be requested to Manufactureror to be
replaced by user with other plates containing identical information, as
indicated in chapter 4.
EVERY WEEK
Visual check of
integrity of
wheel/Tire
assembly
The machine is unplugged and powered off.Shake the wheel tire
assembly to check if the wheel is loose. The assembly should not be
able to move laterally. If loose, check the nuts and tighten them.
