6.9. START-UP PROCEDURE WHEN STATIONARY
In normal use, the machine has to be used within the limits described in
paragraph 2.2
During use all safety regulations, warnings and prescriptions in case of residual risks
(
refer to chapter 4
) need to be observed.
The initial state is when both Segway and the wheelchair kit are powered off and the parking legs are deployed.
Phase
Operations

Get on the wheelchair and install the Handlebar as described in this Manual

Power on the wheelchair as described in the start-up procedure

Power on the wheelchair pressing button P1 (button next to the battery charge indicator)

Wait for the Battery charge indicator to have reached 13 (Volt). If the battery does not reach 13 Volt (red
led lights near number 11) the battery needs to undergo a recharging cycle. Connect
the kit’s charge
port (front side next to the handle bar blockage.

Press button P1 and P2 in successively. The interval between pressing the buttons should not exceed 3
seconds. Otherwise the sequence needs to be repeated.

The parking legs re-enter until they are completely up and the machine starts to function stabilizing the
load.

It is very important to maintain a steady and in balance position during re-entering cycle of the parking
legs. Do not move in any way (back and forth or push the handlebar) until the cycle is completed.
