Disabling/enabling the dialer and network
Disabling
The dialer and network CMS connection and panel/device NACs
configured as city tie can be disabled so that they do not transmit
events to the CMS. When you disable the CMS connection:
• The Remote Disconnect LED lights
• "Dialer Dsbl/Rem Disc" is displayed on the LCD display
• The disabled points counter on the LCD display increments
• The active points counter on the LCD display increments
• Pending events in the CMS queue are purged
To disable the dialer and network card:
1. Press
Remote
Disconnect.
2. Enter your password (the minimum of a level one password is
required).
Enabling
If the dialer and network CMS connection were disabled, they must
be enabled to transmit events to the CMS. When you enable the
dialer and network CMS connection:
• The Remote Disconnect LED turns off
• The message "Dialer Dsbl/Rem Disc" on the LCD display
disappears
• The disabled points counter on the LCD display decrements
• The active points counter on the LCD display decrements
To enable the dialer and network card:
1. Press
Remote
Disconnect.
2. Enter your password (the minimum of a level one password is
required).
