Auto programming the panel
Auto programming allows you to quickly program a panel as a
common alarm system. You can auto program the panel using the
standard factory default settings along with some manual
programming. Refer to "Factory default settings" for a list of all of
the factory default settings. When auto programming, you have the
option to label devices and zones, program some dialer options, etc.
Auto programming places all input devices and NACs in correlation
group 1 meaning that every alarm event turns on all of the NACs.
For more information on correlation groups, refer to "Correlation
groups programming."
Note:
Don't forget to set the time and date and it is recommended
that you also change the default passwords before auto
programming your system. See "Setting the time and date" and
"Setting the passwords" for more information.
Note:
If you choose to label devices during auto programming,
devices are labeled by selecting their device (address) number and
then labeling the device. It is important for you to have a printout of
the Device Details > Serial Number report to correlate the device
address with the default label and serial number. This will make
device labeling much easier.
Auto programming options
Auto zoning
Yes: The system automatically finds all of the devices connected to your system and assigns
them to a zone. The number of devices assigned to a zone is based on the type of panel:
64 point panel: Four devices per zone
250/500 point panel: Sixteen devices per zone
No: The system automatically finds all of the devices connected to your system and does not
assign them to a zone
Enable NET
Yes: Enables the panel to communicate to the central monitoring station over an Ethernet
network
No: Disables the panel from communicating to the central monitoring station over an ethernet
network
Dialer
Yes: Dialer is enabled and configured as a dual line, which means that all messages are sent to
two separate receivers that have different phone numbers and account codes
No: Dialer is not enabled
Note:
Not all dialer programming options are acceptable for UL/ULC installations. Refer to "UL
864 programming requirements" for details.
Event notification
Zone: When a device is a member of a zone, only the zone information is sent to the LCD
display, LEDs, printer, and dialer. Note: Device level reporting configuration is not available.
Zone/device: Zone information is sent to the LCD display and LEDs. Device information is sent
to the printer and dialer. Note: Zone/device reporting locations can be configured through
custom programming.
Device: Only device information is reported, no zone information
Caution:
When auto
programming, your current
loop configuration settings are
lost, meaning that anything
you previously programmed is
erased.
